Yojita Yoga Teacher Training

Participating in the Yojita Yoga teacher training has helped me to find and claim my sacred self. Through learning more about the yamas and niyamas, I was able to clarify and maintain better boundaries around what is mine to claim versus witness and not take on. Being in community with other humans in this way has inspired patience and increased my capacity to have more grace for myself.

The sacredness of the container created for learning and maintained by Mary and Tara is unlike any experience I’ve had before. They established a safe space to practice and deepen knowledge of yoga, in a way that also honors the origins of yoga and addresses the complexities of its translation into the Western world. The intersection of Mary’s musical talent expressed through mantra and chanting, and knowledge of viniyoga, and Tara’s mystical wisdom about yoga nidra, tantric yoga, and ancient deities is majestic.

I began this training as a humbled student. Now, I am now transformed, irrevocably changed for the better, as a yoga teacher. My greatest takeaways are: yoga is for everyone, always remember to draw upon your breath for support, and yoga helps to integrate the mind and body, to help you navigate your Earthly experience! ~ Bethany, Yojita 230 Teacher Training Alumni 2025
